Funders
The health park has always had the strong support of the Bristol PCT and Bristol City Council. This support continues through a funding agreement with both organisations, to support the work of developing the health park. We are also pleased that in the current year we have secured Neighbourhood Renewal funding to support our healthy lifestyles programme.
Other services on the health park
The Walk-in centre is located in the large building at the centre of the health park where the Health Park Company is also located. The Walk-in Centre is a very busy and successful service and offers a range of clinics as well as general drop-in type services to people in south Bristol. The William Budd Health Centre is located across the health park. It houses two local GP surgeries, the Crest Family Practice and the Merrywood Practice which offer a range of primary health care interventions as well as specialist clinics and support services. B Braun Medical Ltd are located in the third building on the health park. This service provides a regional dialysis unit serving local people and those from Somerset and beyond. The dialysis unit is soon to extend opening hours to accommodate more patients for whom this vital service is quite literally life saving. Diabetes and hypotension (high blood pressure) are two lifestyle factors that contribute to people requiring dialysis. Contact with the dialysis unit will be on referral from a NHS Consultant.
