Get Involved

Hi there! Have you been looking for a way to occupy your spare time, engage with other locals, give back to the community or just feel useful? Come and volunteer with us at the Healthy Living Centre,  we’ve a range of opportunities and the most frequent of those are listed below.

Volunteers will be asked to fill in a simple form and to complete DBS checks, to ensure they are suitable for work with vulnerable adults and children. You will also be asked to complete some basic training which will give you new skills to add to your CV. In return out of pocket expenses and on the job supervision and support will be given.

  • Members of the Board of Directors

    The Board of Directors continually needs local people to become involved. Training and support will be offered, the time commitment will be a minimum of 3 hours per month. The Board may from time to time need to recruit individuals with certain expertise, at other times we may need only general local knowledge. We welcome contact from anyone wishing to become involved.

  • Walk Leaders and Walk Helpers

    We are always looking for friendly folk to help lead and assist our walks, which usually take place locally and regularly. If you are interested but haven’t been on one of our walks before, come along and see for yourself what’s involved.
