An event to encourage older people to become more active in their community is taking place at KWMC this autumn. “Happy and Active in Knowle West” is being jointly organised by KWMC and Knowle West Health Park Company as part of the Celebrating Age Festival. The afternoon will have a ‘green’ theme to mark Bristol’s Green Capital status and will include bike rides, walks and breadmaking as well as local produce sales. The event will also include a range of activities to encourage people to take up a new skill or hobby – from computer sessions to Tai Chi.
